1. What this service does

IsItDown is a free website status checker. You enter a website address and our server checks whether it responds, how fast it is, and related technical details (HTTP status, redirects, SSL certificate information).

2. Data we collect

We do not require accounts and we do not store the URLs you check. Checks are processed in real time and the results are shown only to you. We keep minimal, temporary server logs (such as request counts per IP address) purely to prevent abuse and keep the service running; these logs are rotated automatically and contain no personal information beyond a network address.

If you contact us, we receive whatever information you include in your message (such as your name and email address) and use it only to reply.

3. Cookies

IsItDown itself does not set tracking cookies. However, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message, provided through a Google-certified consent management platform, before any personalised advertising cookies are used. 5. Data sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. Anonymous, aggregated statistics (such as total checks per day) may be used to improve the service.

The internet speed test runs on Cloudflare's network. When you start it, your browser connects directly to Cloudflare (speed.cloudflare.com), which receives your IP address and the test results and handles them under the Cloudflare privacy policy.

6. Children's privacy

This service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version.
